to tell you how many times I thought of you & Lizzie with your families that evening & night. But we were glad to reach Buf and get some breakfast & rest a little- then at five P.M. we started again- spent another night in the cars & reached Albany to breakfast & then came on & reached on Friday home just as the family was at tea not having seen the inside of a bed from Columbus a distance of 730 miles. The cars from Amherst to Palmer returned the next morning & this afternoon (Mon) Monday Feb. 11 is the first time they have been seen here since.  Some of the drifts about here are tremendous In our front yard they are a wall on either side. The cold has not been so intense here as in many places-only 11˚ below zero while at Cincin. it was 18 and Milwaukee 30.
